Volunteer projects

This is just a few of the projects we have yearly.

Pledge or offer your support as a one time project or ongoing.

*        Thanksgiving Baskets   -  Adopt a family and provide thanksgiving day meal or donate funds or food for project.

*        Christmas – Adopt a family for gifts and /or Christmas meal  or donate funds or food for project.

*        Annual Spring cleaning and repair week – once a year we repair, scrub, refresh shelter- pick a room to redo, help paint, help clean offer your handy-man talents, outside yard work, -  It’s a home and the list goes on.

*        Phone lines – answer helpline calls shifts available all hours every day of the year – once trained you can do this from your home – phones provided.

*        Help with shelter support – help with transportation to appointments, offering an hour relief for a mom, child projects, project with residents on weekends please contact us for all the ways you can help.

*        Rape crisis team – working with victims of sexual assault – phone lines, emergency room response, and court accompaniment – training is provided.

*        Annual Mother’s Day fund drive – This is a big project!

*        April – Take back the night – project  - a ceremony and speak out with survivors, mall education and art displays.

*        October – Domestic Violence Awareness Month – Community displays, education classes and art shows.

*        Public speaker – with training on the Crisis Center and on Domestic and Sexual violence, speakers present to community organizations, businesses, other agencies, and middle and high school classes.
